Sheikh Abdulaziz Al Hosni
Sheikh Abdulaziz Al Hosni is the Vice Chairman and Group Managing Director of Qurum Business Group. After receiving his Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration from the University of California in the United States of America in 1996, he returned to Oman to ultimately carry the family legacy forward by transforming Qurum Business Group into an international diversified services enterprise with operations across the Middle East, Europe and the Indian sub-continent.
Sheikh Abdulaziz dedicated his time solely to re-engineering the Group by Developing the company’s investment banking, property, construction, and facilities management businesses. Today QBG a truly international conglomerate by the synergies between the companies under its umbrella. Sheikh Abdulaziz has served as Board Director on a number of reputable organizations including Oman Air, Sohar University, National Gases and Muscat Gases, United Facilities Company, Oman Hotels & Tourism and Al Ahlia Converting Industries. He has also been a member of several state advisory committees working in collaboration with Ministry of Manpower and Ministry of Commerce & Industry. His positive influence and contribution to the facility management industry has added significant value to the FM community particularly in Oman, and generally around the region.

Ali AlSuwaidi
Eng. Ali Alsuwaidi is a prominent and influential leader in the facilities management (FM) and asset management industry in the Middle East. He has been in the industry since the nascent stages and has been tasked with various prestigious, mission-critical, high-profile assignments. His valuable volunteering contributed to the growth of the industry in the Middle East, especially in GCC countries.
Recognized globally as a subject matter expert in FM, Eng. Ali is also a visionary speaker who actively contributes to international workshops, conferences, and seminars. Notably, he served as the first operations head of the iconic Burj Khalifa, the tallest tower in the world – an accomplishment that highlights his professional expertise and strong leadership qualities.
In addition to being one of the key founders of MEFMA and a prominent figure in the Middle East, Eng. Ali has had a significant impact on the global stage through his current role as Chairman of the Global FM Association (GFM), becoming the first individual from the Middle East to hold this esteemed position. He was GFM Vice Chairman from January 2021 and a board member since 2013, along with having a valuable impact as well on various entities in which he held key positions.
Eng. Ali holds an MBA from the American University of Sharjah and a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Toledo, Ohio, USA. He has also earned a Mini-MBA Certificate in Leadership from INSEAD and is a graduate of the Dubai Government Leadership Program in collaboration with The Wharton School of Business, USA. Additionally, he holds an international diploma in Health, Safety, and Environment Management from the British Safety Council.
He also currently serves as the Vice Chancellor for Finance and Administration at the American University of Sharjah.

Dr. Yingkui Zhao
Dr. Yingkui Zhao is an academic leader and environmental scientist with over 30 years of research experience and more than 20 years of teaching in UK higher education. He is currently the College Dean at the International College of Engineering and Management in Oman, where he leads academic strategy and quality assurance. Previously, he held senior roles at the University of Central Lancashire, including Head of Geography and Course Leader. His research focuses on hydrology, water quality, environmental monitoring, heavy metal contamination, and floodplain processes, supported by national and international funding. Dr. Zhao has published widely, served as a UK External Examiner, and has acted as an Environment Expert Judge for the UK Ministry of Justice since 2009.

Facilities and Construction Project Management professional with over ten years of experience across facility planning, construction support, risk and safety management, and performance evaluation in academic and institutional environments. Experienced in supporting the project lifecycle, from planning and design coordination to construction safety, performance monitoring, and post-occupancy evaluation. Brings applied experience in building energy and operational performance, sustainable facilities, and data-informed decision making, with involvement in feasibility studies, safety frameworks, and facilities performance assessments. He has led multimillion FM contracts successfully and has also participated at many governmental committees and initiatives in recent years. Kashif Nesar is a seasoned Facilities Management professional with over 20 years of experience across the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Oman, Qatar, and India. A Mechanical Engineer by qualification, he has led large-scale FM operations, MEP projects, and asset management initiatives for high-profile clients in commercial, residential, and mixed-use developments.
As an Executive Director at Imdaad, Kashif Leads operational delivery and drives strategic growth across its subsidiaries, ensuring compliance, quality, and client satisfaction. His expertise includes project management, P&L oversight, contract administration, technical services, and performance optimization, with a strong emphasis on sustainability and innovation.

Mohamed Ahmed Sultan Al Hosni is a graduate in International Business from Manchester Metropolitan University, United Kingdom. After graduation, he started his career at KSD, UK. Then he successfully completed a project in Financial Market Research and Analysis at Geojit Financial Services Ltd, India’s leading financial services company.
Mr. Al Hosni has significant experience in business development, strategic planning & business intelligence. In 2017, he joined his family business, Qurum Business Group, handling various roles in UAE and Oman with his current position being Group Executive Director.

Mohammed Al-Rumhi is the Discipline Lead for Real Estate and Facility Management at Petroleum Development Oman (PDO), where he leads the development of fit-for-purpose frameworks, standards, and project delivery processes for non-hydrocarbon assets. His role includes establishing governance and assurance models for FM and Real Estate projects, as well as overseeing people development, competency frameworks, and capability building within the RE & FM function.
He has over 13 years of experience in oil and gas project and construction management, with strong expertise in delivering complex projects within regulated environments. Mohammed holds a Bachelor’s degree in Power Systems and Energy Management from Sultan Qaboos University and a Master’s degree in Engineering Management from the University of the West of England (UWE), UK. He is a Project Management Professional (PMP) and a PMI Construction Professional (PMI-CP), and an Associate Member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS), UK.

Dr. M. Ramaswamy is a Mechanical Engineering expert with over 42 years of experience across India and Oman. He holds a PhD from IIT Delhi and has been based in Oman since 1997, including serving as a Technical Expert to the Government of Oman. He has designed some of the largest utility plants in Southeast Asia and published 170+ research papers, along with authoring six engineering books.
A Chartered Engineer (UK & India) and member of several international professional bodies, Dr. Ramaswamy has delivered 140+ keynote lectures worldwide and serves as a reviewer and editorial board member for leading international journals, including SAGE (UK). He is listed in the WHO’S WHO of Renewables (MENAT region) and the Montreal Protocol WHO’S WHO for his contributions to ODS-related initiatives. He currently serves on the Advisory Board of the World Filtration Institute (USA) and is the Technical Director at Levels Training Institute, Oman.

Rawan Al-Riyami is the Head of Corporate Real Estate & Services at Standard Chartered Bank – Oman, holding a triple-hatting role across Corporate Real Estate, Health & Safety, and Physical Security. She brings extensive experience in workplace strategy and operational leadership, working closely with senior and regional stakeholders to deliver safe, efficient, sustainable, and future-ready workplaces.
She holds a portfolio of globally recognized professional certifications, including iFMP, NEBOSH, IOSH, and certifications from Cambridge, Google, and the University of Pennsylvania, and is a certified Mental Health First Aider.
