About the Seminar
The MEFMA Seminar is scheduled to take place on March 5, 2024 in Kuwait University, Al-Shadadiya (College of Engineering Theater, South Building) under the theme “Trends & Innovations Shaping the Future of Kuwait’s FM Market”.
This full-day event aims to bring together FM professionals, experts and key stakeholders in the field of Facility Management. The Seminar will be a great platform for attendees to engage in discussions, educational presentations and insightful panel sessions that will add value and cover various aspects of FM, including trends, innovations and best practices. The goal is to foster knowledge sharing, connecting with top decision-makers, networking and collaboration among the region’s FM professionals and learning from the industry leaders.

سيعقد مؤتمر ميفما بتاريخ 5 مارس 2024 في جامعة الكويت، الشدادية (مسرح كلية الهندسه، المبنى الجنوبي) تحت شعار “التوجهات والابتكارات التي ترسم ملامح مستقبل سوق إدارة المرافق في الكويت“.
تكمن أهمية هذا الحدث والذي مدته يوم كامل في جمع المختصين والخبراء وأصحاب المصالح الرئيسيين في قطاع إدارة المرافق في منصة قيمة تتيح المشاركة في العروض التقديمية وجلسات الحوار والتي من شأنها إثراء القطاع بالمعرفة وتسليط الضوء على جوانب مختلفة من إدارة المرافق، بما في ذلك الاتجاهات والابتكارات وأفضل الممارسات.

Ali AlSuwaidi
علي السويدي
Eng. Ali AlSuwaidi is the Chief Operating officer of Global Village and one of the influential leaders of the facilities management and asset management industry in the Middle East. He has been in the industry since the nascent stages and has been tasked with a range of prestigious, mission-critical, high-profile assignments. His valuable volunteering contributed to the growth of the industry in the Middle East and especially GCC countries.
Eng. Ali is one of the FM subject matter experts worldwide and a visionary speaker participating in facility management workshops, conferences, and seminars. Amongst many other important tasks, Ali was the first operation head for the tallest tower in the world, Burj Khalifa.
In addition to being one of the key founders of MEFMA and a prominent figure in the Middle East, he also has a great impact and huge influence globally by being the Vice Chairman in the Global FM Association (GFM) since January 2021 and previously as a board of director since January 2013, along with having a valuable impact as well on various entities in which he held key positions.
Eng. Ali holds MBA from American University of Sharjah and B.S in Electrical Engineering from Toledo, Ohio-USA. He also holds Mini MBA certificate of leadership from INSEAD, and he is a graduate from Dubai Government leadership program in coordination with The Wharton school of Business, USA. Ali Holds international diploma on health, safety and environment management from British Safety council.
Eng. Faisal Al Atel

Eng. Faisal earned his degree in Electrical Engineering from California State University – Fresno – USA, followed by a Master of Science in Engineering Management from Sunderland University – UK. Currently, he serves as a Faculty member at the Public Authority of Applied Education.
Beyond his government role, Eng. Faisal is deeply involved in the Kuwait Society of Engineers, where he has held various positions, including President since 2017. His commitment to volunteer work extends internationally, having served as President of the Federation of Arab Engineers in 2020 and as an active National Member of the World Federation of Engineering Organization.
Locally, Eng. Faisal has made significant contributions to renewable energy technology and cultivated a culture of teamwork and leadership. With over a decade of teaching experience, he is dedicated to motivating others and improving quality of life through engineering initiatives within his community.
Abdullah Al-Awadhi
عبدالله العوضي
Abdullah has held the position of Facilities Manager in the Oil & Gas industry, overseeing comprehensive service types. Additionally, he has contributed to Facilities Management consultancy, focusing on the design phase of projects. In his role at UFM, he spearheads digital transformation efforts through the management of projects and systems aimed at preserving asset value, aligning with sustainability objectives. With a foundation in both technical and financial disciplines, Abdullah possesses a bachelor’s in mechanical engineering and a master’s in business administration.
Ahmed Bader Al-Eisa

Senior Level Executive offering more than 29 years’ experience in operations and management with wide range knowledge in the engineering consulting, investment, real estate, and oil & gas industries. A visionary and strategist leader backed with strong ability to positively turnaround companies into achieving operational efficiency, financial stability, and profitability. An active member of Facility Management (IFMA) , (MEFMA Strategic Committee Member) , Kuwait Engineering Society and Arbitrator & Expert in Kuwait Commercial Arbitration Centre, Kuwait Chamber of Commerce and Industry and Capital Market Authority.
Bader Salmeen

Over 30 years of experience in the Project Management (PM), Facilities Management (FM), Building Technologies, and Information Technologies (IT) industries. Effective, experienced Manager, with strategic thinking, positive attitude and a proven Project Management track record since 1998.
A self-motivated, flexible professional manager and a dynamic problem solver supported by excellent team building motivational skills. Managing the delivery of complex projects as an experienced leader of multi-disciplinary teams. The span of experience ranges from major constructions, infrastructure, IT systems implementation related to PM & FM Field, engineering documents management systems, setting standards, operating procedures, maintaining critical operation sites, Quality Management Systems implementation, and customer satisfaction monitoring.
Basma AlSabah

Basma AlSabah is a civil engineering Masters’ graduate from Kuwait University with a specialty in project management. With a recent interest in facility management, Basma is currently training, publishing papers, and studying for exams to become a certified facility manager.
Faleh Alajmi
فالح العجمي
Faleh Alajmi is a renowned figure in the Facility Management (FM) industry, with over 20 years of experience across diverse business sectors. He is the driving force behind CAFM-IMS, a company dedicated to digitally transforming FM and providing smart solutions for businesses throughout the GCC region.
Khaled Hallak
خالد الحلاق
Khaled has been in the Real Estate field for the past 24 years, focusing on real estate development, project management and facilities management. He has managed assets in excess of KD 400 M in value in Kuwait, KSA and rest of the Gulf. In Facilities Management, his focus was on hard and soft services as well as supporting / enabling fields (finance, procurement, SCM, etc). A major focus recently was on technology and how to introduce new systems and tools into their field to help differentiate, improve and grow the business.
Meshari AlEnezi
مشاري محمد العنزي
Meshari AlEnezi is currently the Deputy Manager of Project Development Department in Kuwait Municipality. He also represents Kuwait Municipality in many committees and projects including being the Vice President of Project Contracts Development committee. He is also the officer contact between Kuwait Municipality and Ministries Council Projects committee.
Salah Mahdi Boftain
