INDIVIDUAL AWARD CATEGORIES
Open to individual MEFMA members or an individual employed with a MEFMA member entity, who has made a significant positive impact in the FM industry
FM Visionary Leader
Recognizes a senior leader (C-level or executive) who has demonstrated exceptional leadership qualities and contributed significantly to the FM industry through strategic thinking, innovation and inspirational guidance to their teams and organization.
FM Industry Mentor
Honors an individual who has dedicated significant time and effort to mentoring and training, actively guiding and developing the next generation of FM professionals, inturn playing a crucial role in shaping the future of the industry.
FM Hero
Recognizes an FM employee (non-executive) who has made a meaningful impact through their dedication, exceptional service and positive contributions to their organization and / or to the broader FM industry.
SUBMISSION PROCESS
- Must be a MEFMA member company to be eligible to submit in the FM Client, FM Service Provider and FM Supplier Awards
- Must be an individual MEFMA member or individual employed with a MEFMA member company to be eligible to submit in the Individual Awards
- Membership status must be active at the time of submission and throughout the award process
- Members are eligible to submit in one or more award categories, with a limit of one entry per category — except for the Individual Awards, where multiple nominations are allowed
- The submission should align with the appropriate chosen award category, based on the eligibility criteria
- The submission must focus and concentrate on one specific project / case study / initiative considering the categories and criteria mentioned hereafter
- Operational or implemented initiatives must have been fully operational in the Middle East for at least six months prior to the submission
- All submissions must be in English only, to align with the requirements of the Global FM Awards, as they may be considered for this award
- Submissions must be made online by clicking on the ‘Submit Now’ tab in the applicable category on the awards website
- Members are required to login to their membership account to continue with the submission process
- Please select the Awards Category you would like to enter. If you would like to apply in more than one category, kindly submit another form for the additional category that you wish to apply for.
- During the submission process, you will also have the option to ‘Save and Continue Later’, wherein the submission can be accessed from the ‘My Submission’ tab of the Awards page and/or from your membership dashboard.
- The submissions will be judged on the 5 criteria below. It is mandatory to answer each of the criteria to complete your submission. Description of each criteria will be available once you login to your membership account and start the submission process.
- 500 words maximum per judging criteria:
- Creation, Evolution and Implementation
- Innovation in FM
- Corporate Outcomes
- Leadership and Success in FM
- Contribution to FM Worldwide
- Where possible, submissions should include quantitative data (such as percentages or KPIs) to support the achievements and demonstrate clear results. Case studies and real-world examples illustrating the submission’s success or innovation are highly recommended.
- Attach a maximum of 2 supporting documents (total of 4 pages) that validate the claims and impact of the project or initiative. Please note, the submission of supporting documents is entirely optional and will not be scored separately. For example (but not limited to):
- Published articles
- Client testimonials, peer reviews or industry endorsements are valuable for showing the credibility and broader impact of the submission
- Certificates/awards or any other materials that may be considered to support your entry
- No general marketing material is to be included
- As part of the award submission process, entities are encouraged to upload a brief video (maximum 10 minutes) recorded by a C-level representative or senior leadership team. For individual submissions, this video should be recorded by the individual applicant. Please note, that submitting a video is optional; however, it will be eligible for bonus points in the evaluation process and can provide valuable insight into your submission.
- In this video, please address the following:
- Why Your Submission Should Win the Award: Share your insights on what sets your project apart and highlight its significance within the FM industry
- Project Summary: Provide an overview of the project you are submitting, outlining its objectives, key initiatives and the impact it has made
- Final submission deadline – February 10, 2025 (Late submissions will not be accepted)
- A system generated confirmation email will be sent upon submission. If you do not receive the confirmation, kindly contact the MEFMA team to ensure your submission has been received.
- Incase of any unsettled payment or membership cancellation during the awards submission process until the awards announcement, MEFMA reserves the right to withdraw the company / individual’s submission
- The submission deadline is final and not subject to any exception. Once the entry is submitted, no further changes will be accepted.
- The submission must follow the exact specifications and word count mentioned in the criteria
- No General or Commercial Marketing material to be included in the submission
- There is no financial obligation associated with the awards entry submission
- MEFMA reserves the right to disqualify any submission that does not appropriately fit within the selected award category, based on eligibility criteria
- MEFMA reserves the right to publish a winner’s submission as a report / case study thereafter, in coordination with the member company
- All entries will be evaluated and judged based on the awards criteria, by an independent Jury Committee, composed of leading experts and industry players who represent a broad spectrum of Facilities Management, to ensure fair judging of the submissions
- All judges names will be kept anonymous and only announced once the Judging Process has been completed
- Top scorers in each category will be shortlisted as finalists. MEFMA will inform finalists (entities and individual categories) once the Jury evaluation process has been completed; however, no public announcement will be made prior to the official awards ceremony.
- Winners & Highly Commended within each category will be announced at the Awards Gala Dinner
- Top 3 highest scoring submissions (across all award categories for Entities) will qualify to be submitted for the Global FM Awards of Excellence in FM 2025
