Ali AlSuwaidi
Lead trainer
Eng. Ali AlSuwaidi is one of the influential leaders of the facilities management and asset management industry in the Middle East. He has been in the industry since the nascent stages and has been tasked with a range of prestigious, mission-critical, high-profile assignments. His valuable volunteering contributed to the growth of the industry in the Middle East and especially GCC countries.
Eng. Ali is one of the FM subject matter experts worldwide and a visionary speaker participating in facility management workshops, conferences, and seminars. Amongst many other important tasks, Ali was the first operation head for the tallest tower in the world, Burj Khalifa.
In addition to being one of the key founders of MEFMA and a prominent figure in the Middle East, he also has a great impact and huge influence globally by being the Vice Chairman in the Global FM Association (GFM) since January 2021 and previously as a board of director since January 2013, along with having a valuable impact as well on various entities in which he held key positions.
Eng. Ali holds MBA from American University of Sharjah and B.S in Electrical Engineering from Toledo, Ohio-USA. He also holds Mini MBA certificate of leadership from INSEAD, and he is a graduate from Dubai Government leadership program in coordination with The Wharton school of Business, USA. Ali Holds international diploma on health, safety and environment management from British Safety council.
Abdulla Al Wahedi
Abdulla Al Wahedi is a leading facilities management expert in the region. He is the founder and owner of Irtikaz Group which offers property management and owners association management services. He has over two decades of experience in facilities management and has held several high-profile roles including his last role as senior director facilities management in Emaar Properties where he oversaw the FM operations of iconic projects such as Burj Khalifa, The Dubai Mall and Emaar District Cooling. He also gained FM exposure in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia as he served as a Senior Engineer at Etihad Etisalat. At the beginning of his career, Abdulla worked on the first commercial district cooling plant in the UAE with Tabreed.
Abdulla holds a bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from Seattle University in the USA, and an MBA from the American University of Sharjah. He is a graduate of the Mohammed Bin Rashid Centre for Leadership Development (MBRCLD) and has won the Rashid Award for Academic Achievement.
Assem Al-Hajj
Dr Assem is an expert in academic leadership, institutional transformation and professional development. He has published more than 80 scientific articles and spoken at over 100 international and regional industry events. A Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy in the UK (SFHEA), a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Building (FCIOB), a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Quantity Surveyors (FAIQS), an Associate Member and a recognized facilitator of the Middle East Facility Management Association (MEFMA). Selected by The FM Middle East magazine as one of the 50 most influential professionals in the Facilities Management Industry in the Middle East in 2012, 2013 and 2014. Won the MBM Research and Teaching Award at the Australian Institute of Quantity Surveyors’ 2013 Infinite Value Awards, Sydney, Australia.
Assem is the CEO of Project Perfect Professional Practices Fz-LLC, UAE. He has held leadership roles in the GCC for over 15 years – as CEO of Khawarizmi Holding Company (KHC) and President of Khawarizmi International College, Abu Dhabi, UAE. Vice President for Academic Affairs and Development at Applied Science University in Bahrain. He established the School of the Built Environment in 2006 at Heriot-Watt University in Dubai, became its Academic Head and Director of Research, establishing its reputation in the MENA region up until 2015. Before moving to the Gulf, Assem worked for 13 years at the Robert Gordon University, Aberdeen, UK as an academic, and then representing the University internationally as Program Director for the Shell Intensive Training Program in Nigeria, then as Senior Project Director for the Petroleum Technology Development Fund (PTDF) on the Petroleum Training Institute Upgrade project in Nigeria.
Assem has provided leadership coaching and training in Facilities and Asset Management for a wide range of executives and industry professionals.
Bader Salmeen
Over 30 years of experience in the Project Management (PM), Facilities Management (FM), Building Technologies, and Information Technologies (IT) industries. Effective, experienced Manager, with strategic thinking, a positive attitude, and a proven Project Management track record since 1998.
A self-motivated, flexible professional manager and a dynamic problem solver supported by excellent team-building motivational skills. Managing the delivery of complex projects as an experienced leader of multi-disciplinary teams. The span of experience ranges from major constructions, infrastructure, IT systems implementation related to PM & FM Field, engineering documents management systems, setting standards, operating procedures, maintaining critical operation sites, Quality Management Systems implementation, and customer satisfaction monitoring.
Fahad Mohamed
Fahad Mohamed is the Director – Dubai & NE with Adeeb Group which specializes in Facilities Management and MEP Contracting. In this capacity, Fahad oversees the overall business and growth of the group in Dubai and the Northern Emirates Region.
Fahad holds a Master’s Degree in Facilities Management and a bachelor’s in Electrical and Electronics Engineering with Honors. He is a certified internal auditor for ISO 9001, 14001, 45001 & 50001 and has completed certification in IOSH Managing Safety, multiple Association Management Courses under RERA, and is a Certified Trainer for MEFMA.
He has over sixteen years’ experience in both public and private sectors and has comprehensive knowledge and understanding of various aspects such as operations, procurement, technical services, asset, and property management.
